R/Sirs, we are examining approx 11 rakes of Parcel trains (Consisit of 19-22 VPUs) at NGC Coaching Pit Line in a month.
The entire commercial release to examination to final readiness of BPC issuing takes approx 23-25 hrs on an average.
If it is permitted to examine such VPU rakes in goods examination lines, we can save minimum 15 hrs on every rake and on top of that the shunting, crew and main line congestion costs.
After all, freight stock on non dock freight examination lines, so Parcel Rakes (used for freight purpose) can also be given a try. Trolleys have difference but a discussion on this line is requested.
The proposal, if implemented, shall save immense operational Costs.
